I'm selling my Conn 24J with a recording bell. It comes with a heavy duty stand. This is a top-action 4-valve, with the short-action valves. The bell is a detachable recording bell. My price is $1600.00
This is a true BAT, a 6/4. The bow is huge. Low F is gorgeous.
The horn was made around 1957. I bought it in 1991 from a small college where it did not get much use. There are no dents in the horn, just dings and blemishes in the lacquer. It's in fine condition, the valves and slides all work fine. All braces are solid, All the bell screws are straight and strong, - you won't be disappointed. A lot of dixieland musicians use these horns.
I don't have cases and don't want to ship a horn of this size. I'm located in Columbus Ohio and am willing to drive 200 miles or so to meet you. Or ...
I am planning to attend the US Army Band Tuba Euphonium Conference in Wash. DC. I'll bring it if anyone wants a look at it.
The stand is notable too for it's good condition, it's size (each of the 3 legs extends 15"), and its stoutness. I feel sure it's original equipment sold with the tuba.
I'll try to get a picture posted soon.
Thanks,
