Some Hot! tuba from TubeNetter Ron Caswell

Post by David Richoux »

On the new Brian Carpenter Ghost Train Orchestra CD "Hothouse Stomp" - I just got a copy ( that I bought - not a radio DJ comp ) and it is a great take on a style of jazz many people know almost nothing about. You can hear a recent interview with Brian here on Fresh Air.

I have been playing and/or listening to this sort of music for about 30 years, I think the Ghost Train Orchestra has done a fine job of remembering the past and also bringing in a touch of current jazz to this work.

He is still on the members list, but in any case there is some good tuba operating on this recording...
