Kudos to James Green!

Post by Tim Olt »

Greetings all,

I want to congratulate James Green upon completion of his Master's recital. He did a spectacular job! As many of you know, this has been a tough two years for him, and I want to state publicly how proud I am of all his hard work, both musically and personally. There have been a few bumps in the road along the way, but he has made incredible progress. It is bittersweet for me; I am very proud of all he has accomplished, but sad to see him go. It is comforting to know he will be in the very capable hands of Jim Akins at OSU for his doctoral work. I am sure there we be many wonderful things ahead for James...

Sincerely,

Tim Olt

Nicely done, James. Sounds like the elephant is right, and that Ohio agrees with you. Good luck pursuing your DMA.

James is a wonderful musician, and I'm sure that the recital he performed is no exception to that rule. I got the chance to hear him at SERTEC about a month ago performing Don Giovanni's Höllenfahrt by Jan Koetsier. I'm sure that The Ohio State University will welcome him with open arms. Congrats James!

Congratulations to you too Tim as his teacher. How many of us would be where we are today without some special teachers in our lives along the way. And good for you James - you've proved what a lot of us know - when there is a will there is a way. Good Luck at OSU - any chance you will get to dot the I?
