Free Low Brass Arrangement by James Meador

Post by OSYBass »

Hi everyone,

I'm offering everyone on TubeNet a free low brass quartet arranged by me. It makes a great encore, and works well for trombone quartet, low brass quartet or tuba quartet. I can almost guarantee all you tuba and bass trombone players will LOVE it, because the end rocks a little bit.

To get your free arrangement, please visit my website:

Hope you all enjoy it!

Take care,
James

Hi, James!

I just visited your website and received the free chart. Looks good and we'll give it try when my tuba/euph guys meet on Thursday.

I have some questions or suggestions...

1) It would be nice to see a 'preview' of the charts before buying. If there would be a way to plug in just the page one of the conductor score to give one a sense of range or difficulty it would be nice.

2) I have a couple of 'weenies' in my low brass quartet who like to read treble clef parts on the top two parts that would be considered euphonium 1 and 2. Could these be added easily to your offerings?

3) (EDIT)... I just noticed that the trombone/euph 1 part is written in 'tenor clef'. Can this be resolved without me having to transpose he part to bass and treble clef?

Thanks!

Hi Dan!

Those are excellent points. I am working on adding examples to my website, and I can certainly add parts in treble clef.

Thanks for your suggestions!

Best wishes,
James

Great! I'll look forward to having a look at your arrangements. Let me know when I can see if I'm buying bass or treble parts.

Hey everyone,

One other thing. I just came across a video on YouTube of Tim Buzbee playing my piece Apocalyptic Voices for tuba and piano. It was recorded at Texas Tech University and posted over a year ago, and I'm sorry to say that I just saw it for the first time yesterday! Fantastic job, Tim!

If you have not seen or heard the piece, check it out here:

The piece is available on my website.

Take care,
James

Hi everyone,

A few people expressed concern about giving me their email addresses. I assure you, I WILL NOT give out your email addresses. I am offering any and all low brass players a free arrangement for subscribing to my website, that's it!

To those who subscribe to my website, I will send occasional notices of new projects that I am working on, and from time to time will offer discounts on my music on my website. I will not sell, rent or give your email addresses away. I'm a fellow low brass player, and I hate spam just as much as you do.

For those who haven't checked out my free arrangement, visit http://www.jamesmeadormusic.com. And any feedback is welcome!!

Best wishes,
James
