Tuba/Euphonium Embouchure

Would playing the euphonium (an equal amount of time) be harmful (or beneficial) to a tuba player's embouchure?

I think that playing the euphonium helps my tuba high register and my tuba technical facility. I also believe that playing the tuba helps my euphonium low register and breath control. Therefore, I would say that playing the euphonium an equal amount of time is beneficial to both my tuba embouchure and my euphonium embouchure.

FWIW I suspect that external pressures will in most cases be the determining cause directing your practice "budget". In my case its a lot easier to grab the euph than to heft the tuba around. Just blowing either one contributes to the whole.

No harm to pick one up and practice, play, fool around, but in the end you have to pick which horn to master.

I agree in that once one masters one, it is easy to master another.
