40 auditionees, 7 Advanced, then a dogfight btw Nate Turner & a Japanese tubist from Cincinnati...Nate wins again! He's on a hell of a roll!

Sorry, I didn't know most of the finalists...the 2 Boston guys that advanced were myself & and NEC grad student named Kevin. I'm sure someone will chime in soon enough with better details.

The Japanese tubist is Yuki Onitsuka. He's a doctoral student at Cincinnati College-Conservatory, and is one hell of player. Congrats to both!
