Can those dents in the bell be smoothed out?

Hi, Helen!

Provided that there aren't any real tears in the brass... I don't see any repairs that are 'over the top' as long as the valves work OK and have reasonable compression.

I think the Conn 5J is a very much overlooked tuba. Good intonation and of a size that qualifies it as a cut above a student line horn.
