I recently spotted a Yamaha YEB-321s Eb for sale at Carl's Pro Band in Bloomington, IL (about half way between Chicago and Springfield and the home of Illinois State U and Illinois Weslyan. From the time I made my first inquiry to the time I received this horn, Travis Thacker was great to deal with. He answered all my numerous questions, sent copious photos, answered questions about the photos, facilitated negotiations with the seller (this was a consignment horn). In addition, the horn was completely chem-cleaned and serviced with new pads, corks, springs and was buffed to look like new. It then was packed in an oversized box, in the hard cast, very well padded, and shipped up to Chicago by Greyhound (a whole separate story).

It is always a pleasure to deal with folks who so value their customers and their tradition of service. They are true pros and I would encourage anyone in need of repair work, or in need of a used horn, to give them serious consideration.

Another happy customer! I have been singing the praises of Carl and Travis for years and years and I am glad to hear that they treated you so well. Carl and Travis run a wonderful business and are expert craftsmen. They are THE go-to-guys for repairs in downstate Illinois. If you live within a 4-6 hour drive from Bloomington/Normal, Illinois, you owe it to yourself to get to know these guys. Your tubas and euphoniums will thank you!

I agree with Andy! Carl and Travis are top notch and have done nothing but give me great service for years. I highly recommend them to anyone in the general area if for anything than to get to know Travis and Carl!
