Gard Wheelie Bag

Post by rodgeman »

Has anyone seen or used one of these?
It's about time they put wheels on a gig bag.

Dear Gard bags,

This is a great idea. I have been suggesting a bag like this for years. However, this design is a major fail. Bell down is a baaaaaaad idea.

Sincerely,
Tony "I wish I was as clever as Rick Denny" Clements

I have one and really like it. It's well designed, very protective, and the wheels are so welcome! Haven't had any issues with the bell. I have multiple Gard bags: tenor trombone, bass trombone, euphonium, and tuba (all with wheels) and a tenor trombone without wheels. All the wheelie bags come with backpack straps, shoulder straps, and "raincoats."

Cool. Could you take some pictures of the bell area? Inside and outside - please. I have contacting Gard to find a local dealer so I can look one.

A friend of mine uses a luggage cart and bungee cords. It seems to work well for him for both of his instruments (a small Yamaha BBb in a hard case and a 4/4 BBb in a ProTec gig bag).

I'll try to remember to do that later today.

Sorry for the delay. Pictures were taken promptly, just not processed very quickly.

Thanks for the pictures. On the bottom does there appear to be wood covered by foam and cloth to protect the bell?

Yes. It's removable. Want a photo or two of that also?

Yes please. I really appreciate this as I cannot find one locally.

Thanks again.
