I am not the expert on this matter, but as I remember the same question discussed on the Norwegian TubaForum, Øystein Baadsvik was still playing a Hirsbrunner F tuba back then.

Yes, of course I erred about the pitch of F. Silly as the whole point of Øystein Baadsvik contributing to the Miraphone development of the Norwegian Star and Star Light was about them being in Eb.joh_tuba wrote:It's an HB rotor Eb.

When I talked Eb tubas with the then junior mr. Hirsbrunner in 1990, he said: “Sie sind ja nur für Kapellen.” (They are only for bands). I guess the attitude has changed since then.
