In Bloomington, Indiana in time for the 3:00 pm celebration
Which will take place in the MAC (Musical Art Center) at the
Jacobs School of Music on the IU campus. There will be a reception hosted by the Jacobs School of Music in the lobby of MAC at the conclusion of the Celebration.


A 3:00 pm performance featuring tributes to Harvey utilizing the talents of various individuals will recognize Harvey Innovations like OCTUBAFEST, TUBA SANTAS, TUBAJAZZ CONSORT, BRASS QUINTET,TUBA QUARTET, and a MASS TUBA ENSEMBLE in addition to commentary from some of Harvey’s special colleagues.

All former students of Harvey’s, IU grads and friends are cordially
invited to perform in the mass tuba ensemble conducted by Winston Morris at the end of the program. We would love as many tubas and euphoniums as possible to perform. We do expect a lot of publicity for this special OCTUBAFEST event remembering the life of Harvey Phillips.
