Anyone have any experience with Periodontal Flap Surgery?
The description has me a little freaked out.
Thanks,

Don't touch your mouthpiece until your dentist says you are 100% recovered from this.

Re: Periodontal Flap Surgery
I had all four quadrants done in succession about 10 years ago. The surgeries were about a 2 months apart, if I remember correctly, and I was off the horn for about two weeks each time. I was only playing trombone then, not tuba. This proceedure, combined with a renewed hygene regimen, resulted in my getting back to excellent dental health. I had let my mouth get in bad shape and have no regrets whatsoever after having the work done.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.
