Any experience with Musicpro Insurance?

Post by Alex F »

I just received a very favorable quote from Musicpro Insurance toto insure a double bass and bow. I called several other carriers and received minimum quotes that were 2.5 to 3 times higher and with much higher deductibles.

Has anyone had direct experience with this company?

Thanks

Musicpro is owned by Sterling and Sterling. They are a large brokerage house in NYNY. Sterling and Sterling is not an insurance company. They just broker the risks out to various insurance companies. I did read that all their companies are AM Best rated A or better. The rating scale runs from A++, A+, A, A- B. So although A sounds good it is really right in the middle. I don't know that Clarion is any better. They seem to get more positive vibes on this board, but I think they are just a broker as well.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

I've been with Musicpro since 2007.

Haven't had to make a claim so I can't comment on their claims process, but their rates are VERY reasonable, and they responded promptly to my queries (which I more than I can say for my dealings with Clarion).

As always, YMMV.
