I've had it happen to me also. I believe it happens when the Administrator removes a post completely.

I do agree that it happens to many of us. I can only guess that either A. Sean has something to do with it, or B. government conspiracy. I'm leaning more towards B! :lol: :twisted:

If the administrator has enable "auto-pruning" all old topics get deleted after a few months...if you've posted in those topics that could be the reason your post count has went down.

If you talk to Sean and ask him to turn auto-pruning off, the old topics will not be automatically deleted and your post count will not lower.

Also a possibility, but the first is most likely to be the case.

no idea. i typically don't delete posts. they get moved to the Black Hole in case i need them later. should not affect post counts. perhaps a memory slippage?
