There is a rotary Eb made by the company of Dalian, but I don't know on what it is based. I can obtain to order, but it is not cheap - more expensive than a Cerveny!

For a 'clone' of the Norwegian Star - I am not aware of one being developed at present, but would not rule out in the future

Hi Rob,
Are you selling your York then?
I taught you for years to be a tuba player... stop playing all theses silly instruments!
All the best,
Ian

Re: Chinese Rotary Ebs?
Hi Ian!
Nope not selling my York, I'd have nothing to play! But you how I feel about it, its not quite a Besson. My mistake for playing the two side by side I guess!
And you'll be happy to hear I haven't touched ophicleide for months, and bass trombone for nearly as long, but ophicleide is my major project next year so ill need to start work again soon.
But I guess I want something that's a little bit sweeter than the Besson and the York too, I can't describe what I'm looking for any better than that. Don't worry I'm not looking to replace the York, just want something as an alternative!
Hope you're okay
Bob
