Hi all. I will be travelling to the SF bay area 8/4 thru 8/12 with my wife and child. I can't promise I will have time to meet up, but is there any must see / must do things in the area? Concerts? Let me know! We have obligations to visit family and attend a wedding near San Jose.
Thanks!

Check out the Golden Gate Park Band. Great bunch of guys. You might even get to see Billy Robinson of 'The Bay 'Bones' play his DB euphonium.

I went to see my brother there over last Christmas. Are you already back? If not, don't go to Hayte and Ashbury (spelling?). There are some VERY aggressive panhandlers there.

Re: San Fransisco
Ahh... Just finally realized there was more stuff here.
Vacation went very well. My wife, child and I went to a weding in Morgan Hill, checked out the redwoods (did not do the train as they had a kids day event) Santa Cruz, Sonoma & wine, Russian River sour beers, SF & my wife's cousin's restraunt he manages. Lastly we spent some time with an aunt in San Jose.
Thank you all for the info.
