I like the look of it can you get the case on its own?

The valve section itself looks more like a 14K/36K. I am making this observation based on the length of the 1st slide upper coil. The 20K's have shorter tubing on the upper side of the 1st valve circuit.

Is the diameter of the 1st branch and bell elbow similar to the 20K? 7.25" collar?

Also, it looks like the bottom of the bell rim rests MUCH higher than many of the 20K's I have seen. If this is true, that is a very good thing.

Monel...I find that particularly weird. Don't most of the Chinese makers use Stainless?

curious: Why is it that the "free thinkers" are always the ones bleating that this or that thread be "locked" ? To me, it seems a bit disingenuous and a bit lacking in ...well...curiousity.

There is more than one reason to cauterize a thread, so there may not be a good general rule for the type of person who would call for that.

One case is a divisive topic where the parties to the debate don't have any real interest in addressing the problem, but only profiting from the division. In a word, "politics". Hopefully any kind of "thinker" would be happy to see the last of that stuff.

There are others, some good reasons and maybe some questionable reasons. Some members might prefer a sort of gentlemen's club environment, where whatever our differences, we'd never have any kind of serious beef with each other because that's just not done, and of course good taste and decorum are paramount. They might be lacking in curiosity. The rest of us might be more curious, or maybe you could say we're hoping to see some blood.

Bloke, are you sure it is a JinBao 110 - is JinBao engraved on the bell?

I ask because the JB I have seen had long action valves and it was the Huashen sousaphone which had the short action valves.

Studying the photos further, looking at the stay thickness and ferrule positions also looks like the Huashen

fwiw, these short-action Chinese sousaphones have been made since the '80's.

That figures. If it originates from where I think, the factory was established in the 1970's.
