New Tuba Blog!

Post by AsiagoCheezBagel »

Hi TubeNet,

I've created a blog. I hope to talk about all things tuba, and hopefully even post some new music from my composer friends on here eventually.

Here's the site:

tubarachel.blogspot.com

Bookmark it and check back regularly....

Have a lovely rest of your day. :D

Rachel -

Great photos. You can find my blog here: http://www.SousaCentral.blogspot.com

It's called SousaCentral, but it's about Tubas as well.

More information can never be a bad thing.

Gave the link a more useable format.

Didn’t see that many photos but for the avatar and the undercut.

Really liked the VW excerpt. Sounded so good that one almost forgot it is a rotary horn.

?

Uh yeah... Despite it being a rotary horn? Maybe it would have sounded better on a 3-valve, bell-front clunker? I don't understand that point whatsoever. I'm very curious what you meant?

Fabulous control Rachel! I could listen to you play all day.

PT-15 F tuba, Conn 54J CC

Someone on the YouTube video of The Ride said that Conn hasn't made a good horn since the 1930's, and then I asked him if he could lend me some cash for a new horn, haha. :)

SOMEONE is wrong...

I love those 52J/54J/56J Tubas. Why? Because they are cut down King 2341's! (sort of...)

Please check out my latest blog entry: http://tubarachel.blogspot.com/2011/06/ ... hew-k.html

A CD Review of Matthew K. Brown's How Beautiful: The Music of Barbara York and a Q&A session with Matthew K. Brown

This CD is superb and I highly recommend it! Read (and hear) more about it on my blog.

Great job Rachel!

I second Rachel's recommendation. Matthew K. Brown's CD is excellent. The playing is top notch.
