I greatly appreciate the effort Sean puts forth to keep TubeNet a 'spam free' zone. Have you visited Tuba News lately?

Since the first days I "joined" TubeNet, I have been grateful to Sean for providing it. If I understand correctly, he has very little personal interest in it. This makes it even more impressive that he is willing to continue to be its CEO. Facebook has moved in, and has provided another place to visit, but TubeNet is the tuba place.

Thanks, Wayne, for your contribution. It is also appreciated.

I tried to use TubaNews and I just can't. There is SO much spam that you cannot find anything interesting. I even sent them an email offering to clean it up and help them get it on track. Never heard back from them even to tell me no.

The problem with Tubanews is that the owners have disappeared off the face of the earth and no-one has admin rights.

Established users have the power to delete new members AND their posts within their first four days of membership. Established users can ban any member any time but not delete any garbage they might have posted.

Last I looked the spammers were joining up at the rate of something like two hundred a day. As far as I know every genuine tuba playing member has abandoned the site. I have no idea who is paying for the bandwidth.

Regards

Gerard
