conducting pieces for the semester

Post by Chadtuba »

I just had my first conducting lesson and got scores for the 2 pieces that I'll be doing this semester ans was wondering if any of you have any insight on either of these pieces.

Gallito pasodoble by Santiago Lope, edited by Roy Weger for the October concert

Contre Qui, ros by Morten Lauridsen, transcribed by H. Robert Reynolds for the December concert

My scores are ordered (along with a copy of the original choral part of the Lauridsen) and I'll be getting music ordered or downloaded this evening.

I remember my conducting classes: floor, door, window, ceiling, repeat. :D

Buy this book. It really helped me.

Thanks, I'll add that one to the wish list, probably fairly near the top.
