Question: Can you even see exactly what number a person was? I don't think you can tell exactly who #500 is unless you were sitting at the computer specifically watching when people joined in real-time as it happened. I was going to mention this before, but I couldn't reply in the other subforum.
Comment: I'm not going to like anything until the last minute so I can win. And as for telling other people to, I'd feel bad about using my tuba-playing friends, and I'm not willing (or most likely even able) to coerce my non-tuba-playing friends to do so. I have the feeling that other people are of the same mind as myself, so your current strategy is basically ensuring that no one who knows about the contest will "like" your page until the very end (which will never come, as most people who know your mouthpieces already know the contest).
ON THE OTHER HAND... If you changed the contest so that at 500 likes a random fan will win, that would encourage people to join in.
just in case you haven't seen this...
