Cool horn. I love me some big old 3 valve/affordable/goodenoughformostthingsonacontrabass Bb tubas. That one's not exactly affordable though.

I had an Alex like that. $4200 is a little cheap, but this is only a four valve horn. Alexanders vary a lot from horn to horn. I never saw one that was a "dog" but intonation was sometimes an issue. The one I had was actually in tune with no slide work--a point and shoot Alex!
I would try before buying.
