Sousaphones for sale in the UK?! Help!

Post by tubapower »

After a sousaphone, either BBb or Eb for Dixie/gypsy band work. Been told it would be better if it looked 'road worn'. Does n't matter if it needs restoring, my budget is n't huge but I'm willing to look at any horns going. As I'm sure most Brits know on here, it seems significantly harder to find horns for sale in the UK, and I would really rather not pay the stupidly high freight costs from the States if I can help it. If people know of anything going please let me know!

Thanks,

TP

Hello there are two helicons on EBay at the moment and they tend to come up fairly regular usually in F or Bb located in either Germany or eastern Europe.
It took me about a year and half to find buy and ship my Sousaphone from the US the freight was €600 plus customs.
There are sources for new ones in the UK and one of them is a Tubenet sponsor
Happy hunting

I have a new BBb sousaphone with short action valves arriving from the factory tomorrow.
