Does anyone remember the tuba guy who was a guest on the Johnny Carson show?
He was from the Coast Guard, and his duty assignment was to try to communicate with humpback whales by mimicking their calls on his tuba. He had a gizmo attached to his waterkey to faciliotate glissandos.

Computer generated bovine responses, take your pick:

I don't believe I just herd that.
Why didn't they play "Cow Cow Boogie"?
They really milked the ending.
Cheese it, the crops!
That piece really mooved me.

Goodgigs. My use of the word, insane, was the only word that immediately came to mind. You are right; crazy might have been the better word. I apologize for upsetting your sensibilities (really). As to the prior posts; I did not know of them, because I did not look for them (not really expecting anything like it.) For that I offer no 'mea culpa.'

A few years ago... here in Evansville, Indiana... there was a mental health group that used to picket businesses who used the word 'crazy' on their establishments or in their advertising. They picketed a local Italian restaurant called "The Crazy Tomato", a waterbed store named "Crazy Larry's Waterbeds", and a couple of others I can't recall at the moment. It was a big deal. This bunch even hired lawyers and tried to sue over the use of the word "crazy". They would have gone "nuts" or "stark raving mad" over the use of "insane"!

Not sure, but I think it was Gary Buttery. I seem to remember seeing a photo of him in a dingy at sea playing to the whales...
