busch gardens tuba
Busch Gardens Williamsburg needs a tuba player for a brass quartet in their england section of the park. Dates are late october to beginning january. Pay is 13.60 per hour working friday Saturday, and Sunday. You can search on the web for their auditions page. The direct contact is jennifer.kircher@buschgardens.com" target="_blank. I bet if you really want to make it happen, you could send her a very short youtube clip of your playing. Im not affiliated with these people. Just passing along an opportunity.

'Might be a decent weekend job for someone who lives close by for supplemental income & gigs. But I would not drive far for this, especially with today's gas prices...
I'd prolly go for it if it was close by in my area.

Gig is for the Busch Gardens Christmastown event. Expect it to be a 20-35 hour week gig even just doing those 3 days. It consists of roughly 30 minutes of memorized Christmas music split into 2 15 minute sets. 7 shows/day. The group in Tuba, Trombone, Trumpet, Euphonium (or flugelhorn)
this is assuming it is the same as it was when I was doing it in 2009 and 2010 YMMV

Does anyone know if they prefer CC or F? I'd rather not take both to the audition. I'm assuming they would want CC but I would just want to know if anyone has had experience. Thanks!

no preference for key, though the book does lie better on a contrabass. ALSO it is a standing/strolling gig so be sure you can carry the horn! The audition is also more than likely just a simple "play me what you want" situation rather than a standard list/rep situation.tylerjlink wrote:Does anyone know if they prefer CC or F?
