How to stay in playing shape?

Post by Juggernaut04 »

I am in the process of putting together the funds to purchase a CC Tuba. But all I have access to is a BBb Tuba to play on. What are some suggestions to stay in “playing shape”?

look after your health, maintain a reasonable weight, take some exercise, if you do so, give up smoking, get regular dental checks (it is difficult to play with painful teeth),
then play as often as you can, using music that you like to play, and if you are not already in a band or orchestra, find one to play with, and good luck.
