But seriously, here's a question...is it risky to buy a big-ticket item from a pawn shop? That is, it the burden on THEM to make sure it's not a stolen item, or is it a risk the buyer takes to assume that it's NOT a stolen item? Does it make a difference that it's on eBay vs. an in-store purchase at a pawn shop?

I'm sufficiently deterred from it regardless, but curious enough to ask!

1 - No; 2a - yes; 2b - no; 3 - maybe.
