King valve buttons/caps

Post by Tubajug »

Greetings,

I have a question regarding the valve buttons and caps on my King 1240. Below you will see a picture of the underside of the valve button, is there supposed to be felt underneath? Because none of the three have it. Also, on the second picture you can see that the felt on the valve cap itself is worn. Can that be replaced or do I need all new valve caps for that stuff? Thanks for your help!

Thanks bloke for your help, and thanks LJV for the compliment!

For my own clarification, are the 1/8" felt washers for the buttons or top caps or both? If they're for the top caps, do I need to scrape out the felt that's there already? Thanks again for the help!

Of course, Bloke is correct. We can make an educated 'guess' as what should be under and in the cap but no one here is going to know for sure unless we actually take a few precision measurements.
