Conn 52J piston material?

Hi guys,

I've got a question here, anyways what are the pistons on Conn 52J tubas made out of? I'd been thinking they were monel but after a quick search I can't seem to find any info about what these things are made of. I take these pistons out every day and haven't got a clue what they are! ; )
