Just got off the plane in beautiful Tacoma, Washington. First christmas gig of the season.... yay. Pretty hard rep tonight, include monsters as "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" and "Silent Night". I hope I can make it thru. Wish me luck.

Not 4 dahlahz, but free food, travel, and some extra cash that I wouldn't have made sitting in my studio writing winterguard shows. I'm no professional, but I enjoy food.

My college band director used to say that about our run-out gigs... "if you're not gonna pay us, you'd better at least feed us!"

No snow here but the roofers are finally back after a weeks of mid-west monsoons. Hope they finish up before the next wave of precipitation. I'm tired of putting buckets around the place!

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

I've heard that cow pedal-tones contribute to climate change. :|
New Zealand won't let US warships dock in their country because those ships might have nuclear weapons; but, because of the sheep, New Zealand's per capita contribution to air pollution is very high. Just sayin'.

Side note: I'm from Texas. It is pronounced nucular.

I kind of care about definitions of such things.

But it doesn't really matter where the note is or what it is called... chances are I do not sound good on it.

I made chicken and dumplings. They were delightful (yes, I did it the redneck way with a roll of biscuits, don't judge).

Now draaaankin a Tiny Tim that someone smuggled from Thunderhead Brewing in Kearney, Nebraska to me. AWESOME stuff, half mead half beer concoction.

I am trying to convince my wife that using the tools of modern technology can indeed make life easier. The tool of modern technology I advised her to use: Facebook.

A guy at work brought in Ghost Peppers that he grew in his backyard. I put an entire one in my mouth and ate the whole thing at once. I figured it would be like a banana pepper, maybe a little stronger. Not exactly. I probably won't eat a ghost pepper whole again.

The Bhut Jolokia, as it is commonly known—also known variously by other names in its native region, sometimes Naga Jolokia—is a chili pepper previously recognized by Guinness World Records as the hottest pepper in the world. The pepper is typically called the ghost chili or ghost pepper by U.S. media.
