In Denver Sunday 12/11 we had around 250. Several years ago we had 400+, then it stayed in the 300s for a few years, and now 200+ the last two years. But the audience seems to be growing! Had to move from Larimer Square a few years ago to Skyline Park just to hold the bigger audience.

Denver's TC is always held outside. Sunday was a bit brisk but sunny. Three or four years ago it was so cold the valves were freezing up so we ended up singing our parts!

Oldest was 87 (Virgil Hughs with his ophicleide), youngest 9. Also had a helicon or two and 2 DB euphs, and 1 recording bass. About 10 years ago we had 8 or 9 recording basses (I was one with my King 1240) and the same number of DB euphs. And once again at rehearsal the young kids with their sousas had to be told to quit blatting!

Over the years I have played in many bands in the Denver area. This event becomes a reunion of sorts since its the only time I see some of the people I've played with in the past.

And after the TC we all went home and watched the Denver Broncos and Timmy Tebow pull off another amazing win!

We had 512 in NYC yesterday! That's the most we've had in several years now!

Not bad with a CW-era preacher/undertaker and The King of Overload in the same short video!

Porterdale, Ga., just outside of Atlanta, had 43 as the official count, up from 41 last year. City of Porterdale may post some photos on their website again, hopefully.

Nashville, TN - approx. 125 (I put out 130 chairs, counted around ten empty, had six Sousaphones and had one guy on his own stool). Two performances with a full house in the first (~1000) and about 600 in the second.

Great group of players this year - all played and behaved very well.

Austin TubaChristmas is next Thursday (Dec. 22). We usually get around 200 players. We play on the steps of the State Capitol at noon so we catch a number of tourists and people on lunch break.

Twenty-five years ago I was voted "most pregnant" at a Tuba event in Oregon, and this year my 24-and-11/12ths-year-old son and I played together in Burlington, Vermont with twenty plus others.

I understand there were about 130 at the Nashville double-header event. We took 7 from my little ole school.

There were 154 partipants at the San Antonio TubaMeister Christmas(unaffiliated event, therefore free to run it how we see fit, w/, significant $$ going to parts unknown). The mass ensemble was conducted by Lee Hipp, of the San Antonio Symphony. Appearances by the TubaMeisters and Tuba Cabra, a tuba-euph quartet from the 323rd Army Band, Ft. Sam Houston, Tx.

After raining most of the week, the skies parted(OK, they were gray, but it didn't rain), and God allowed us to have our event on the beautiful San Antonio Riverwalk. We performed to a packed house(OK, it isn't a house) at the Arneson River Theater. Temps were in the mid 50s. Kinda chilly for us.

I didn't hear the official count but there was probably 30-40 at the Boca Raton/FAU Tuba Christmas today. It was my first TC in eight years; I've got to do this more often!
