Project with a Pan American Eb 3/4

I'm curious.

I'm thinking of using a model Conn 14J and convert to fron action and add four valves of measure 0.689 ".
Does anyone think this will work well?
Any suggestions?
I think these models very compact and interesting.

My only concern is whether the valve block bore fits smoothly between the wide end of the leadpipe and the narrow end of the body. Steps in the bore may not be of benefit in a conical instrument. Especially I would avoid a retrograde step bore right after the valve block.

I have the horn!!!
Very interesting the project that Dan did with the body of the Yamaha 321.
Comparing the photos and measurements, the two Tubas seem to have the same body size.
In fact, the Pan American Tuba have measured of bore around 0.650", bell 16", Yamaha 321 have bore in 0.689 "and bell 15 1/8"

I will work with this tuba but need to buy the valve set.

Yes, I will take the greatest care to avoid this.
I'll have to relocate the tuning curve, similar to what Dan did in Pan American Monster.
Will this horn will sound great as 321 have?

Truth!
I believe that the horn may be of medium size will play better in tuned than models Monsters.
But with the sound a little less of Monsters.

Dan's Pan American conversion is about the same size, I think his was the Medium size. Yours could prove to be better in tune that the Medium Eb Conn models, who knows, it'll be interesting to hear/see how it turns out!

The Pan-American I 'warmed over' had a .695" bore. It was a LARGE Eb with a 19" bell.

This model is considered medium or small?
Will have a very full sound?
