Medical school pre-reqs are a little more specific than this. You need an undergrad degree (in anything, it doesn't matter what field), and you also need 1 year each (2 semesters, all with labs) of general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, and biology. There is an English course requirement (though I think any US degree holder would need English 1 and 2), and you must have taken math up through calculus.
Some medical schools vary a bit on these requirements, but the above mentioned parameters would get you into 95% of US medical schools (along with the MCAT and a good GPA).
