Thanks for the link!
Made me aware that the Heckel brasses are from another branch of the family located in Dresden.

Great, thanks for the link!bloke wrote:...still considered by most to be the maker of the world's finest bassoons... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69AO37_ijk4" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank
Just imagine the sound of a heckelphon quartet. Although the sound of a sarussophone quartet may be even nicer.bloke wrote: I've actually "messed with" and played a scale on one of these: http://www.heckel.de/en/prod-heckelphon.htm

Lived in Wiesbaden for over 5 years . . . Yes, they're still doing their thing there with that German attention to detail. Mainz (and Alexander) is just across the river and is doing likewise for the brasses . . .

An excellent and "correct" usage of all three in the same sentence. BRAVO!!jonesbrass wrote:. . . Yes, they're still doing their thing there with that German attention to detail. . .
