Good mouthpiece for the MW 2250?

Post by tubaclay »

Hi guys,

I just purchased the 2250 and I am having trouble settling on a mouthpiece for it.
Any opinions? Would love to hear what you guys think I should consider...

I had been using a laskey 28f, but recently a buddy lent me a Doug Elliot N cup setup that I like better.

I'm very happy with the results I get with my PT-65.

I'm using the Denis Wick 3SL for ensemble and solo Roger Bobo Solo ...
Hug and good luck

Clay,

I am not a pro by any means, but have you looked at maybe Giddings and Webster? They have everything from solo mouthpieces to ones more suited for large ensemble. Also, large and deep cups to small and shallow. I have the Bayamo which is for BBb and CC. I love it took me a while of just scales and chromatic to truly understand how to "work it". They are a bit pricey but in my opinion well worth it.

Best regards
