Parts for York Eminence
Are there any repair technicians that have parts (felts, etc.) for a York Eminence euphonium?

I don't think there is anything special about corks, felts, springs, etc. for those horns. Your local repairman should be able to make do with generic parts.JJones87 wrote:Are there any repair technicians that have parts (felts, etc.) for a York Eminence euphonium?

Thanks, Dan.
If there are any techs that do have specific parts, I'd really like to get in touch.
Thanks!

Brass-fix has been advertising kits that they say fit both Besson Sovereign and York euphoniums. They offer a kit with valve guides and one without:

However, be careful and take measurements of the felts and check with them on the sizes before purchase. I found that the felts they sell for Besson/York baritone top cap are not identical to the felts that came on the horn, the inner bore is a couple mm bigger.

Sort of what I'm trying to say here is saying here is what 'dave' alluded to. ... these horns have been through some subtle changes since Besson quit making euphoniums and specific parts might not work well. I think you would probably just be better off having someone do a visual valve alignment and then install appropriate parts.JJones87 wrote:Thanks, Dan.
