Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Congratulations on winning the audition is one of your sousaphones that is damaged or the bands?KiltieTuba wrote:Have my first game on Wednesday, and will hopefully have the bell on my sousaphone fixed, also received all the apparel for the games (although I think I need to purchase a scarf).
One of these games I'm going to see if I can hook up a camera into my sousaphone to get some video...
Cant carry a tune but I can carry a tuba.

Re: Update Update
I've been fortunate to play several concerts under Colonel Gabriel's baton - the last being a couple years back at the MidWest band clinic. I always walk away shaking my head at how much I learn and how much my playing benefits. I always forget how old he really is as he seems to have not lost any mental sharpness or passion for the music.

Re: Update Update
I was wondering just the other day how all of that worked out! If you use pitch much... go to Goodwill and purchase an old crock-pot. You'll have to plug it in several hours before you need it but there won't be much risk of overheating it.MartyNeilan wrote:I love pitch. Re: Update Update
A tornado moved through about 1 mile south of here at about 6am. Some roofs were blown off in Downtown Newburgh and a couple of houses immediately northeast of Downtown damaged. No injuries have been reported.
Welcome to the Mid-West and an early start of tornado season!

Re: Update Update
We got about an inch of slushy snow and had cars spinning out and driving off the highway and crashing into each other all morning yesterday. More of the same today... Good thing there's no real snow, and that the temps aren't freezing.

Re: Update Update
Although we get some pretty rough weather here... we don't get very much snow. When we do get an inch or so of snow/ice.... the locals have contests to see how much stuff they can tear up! The mere mention of snow by a weathercaster causes all of the milk and bread to 'fly off the shelf' at the markets.bearphonium wrote:We got about an inch of slushy snow and had cars spinning out and driving off the highway and crashing into each other all morning yesterday. Re: Update Update
I've started to take an interest in the "Comments" sections at the bottom of news stories on the internet (like CNN and sites like that).
A single story can get hundreds or thousands of comments really quickly. Some people try to respond to other people's comments. Some people write a LOT. Some people actually have good points, but most are idiots. What an enormous amount of time people are wasting on this.
I just don't get it!

Roger Bobo is giving a masterclass in LA this week. I'm going. Be jealous. I'm not playing. Be thankful.
