I know.... I know.... This is a tuba forum. However, I know there are a few other repairmen on the TubeNet and like it or not, you've gotta take the bad with the good.

Is anyone planning to participate in any of the workshops that Ferree's is having on Saturdays through the month of February? I'm planning to attend on the 12th.

I'd love to, but my work schedule won't allow it. Going to the TUSABTEC took several days away from the bench, and since returning last weekend I've been as sick as a dog - acckk!

If you're headed to Battle Creek, Michigan in February - hmmmmm, you might end up there a little longer than anticipated? They are a great bunch of folks at Ferree's, so maybe that would be a good idea to get snowed-in for a few days at the instrument repair tool & supply "toy shop"!

You might also want to check out a great opportunity at Fox Products, Inc. They offer a course of instruction in double reed repair that is individually customized to each student, and the cost is unbeatable - free! Chip Owens said that more Europeans take advantage of this offer than Americans. Have fun in Battle Creek!

There's a Battle Creek Symphony concert that night. The local youth orchestra is going to play Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet that night with 'em. It should promise to be a good concert.

Sorry, but I've already made arrangements to see Sam Gnagey play with the Fort Wayne Symphony Saturday evening. Fort Wayne is just a couple of hours south of Battle Creek.

A local foreman of a school system's repair shop arranged for a day-long clinic and demonstration of new tools -

1/2 day - woodwinds
1/2 day - brass

The clinic was cancelled...

...because none of the system's techicians were planning to attend.

What did they do with the donuts? Where can I sign up?
