Lionels wanted...
OK friends, So I am going to get back into model trains. If you have old Lionels laying around going unused, contact me (ttuba@comcast.net" target="_blank). So far, I have an old operating corral car, an old (operating) milk car and a new operating refrigerated car. Watcha got?

Re: Lionels wanted...
Very cool, Tony. Not that I'm selling any of my stuff, but I did build a layout in my basement when my kids were young. My kids loved it and it brought me back in time to when I was their age. Even the smell of everything sent me back to a more simple existence. Trains were big technology when we were young.
So, as the kids grew, and I saw that they weren't really interested anymore, I stopped building onto the layout. I did get as far as an 8x16 layout with 2 independent loops, with 3 spurs off of that. Then, I built an upper level(1 loop), dog bone shaped. All 3 loops go behind a wall and return. I was going to build a large mountain at the wall and a suspension-type bridge in the middle of the upper level dog bone, but I never got to it. Now, it pretty much remains scenery free, with some lights here and there and some Lionel buildings. I run the set a few times a year just to show people. I have about 6-7 Lionel engines and a large true O gauge MTH double Amtrack diesel. The whole layout is Gargraves track with wide, sweeping radius.
And, there it sits. Now, we're thinking of moving and I'll have to take the whole thing down soon. I'll put all the stuff in boxes and try and salvage the track to sell. Or, maybe I'll attempt a smaller layout in our new house. Then, I'll put the Sawzall to good use.
Have fun with your renewed hobby. All good stuff!
