U.S. Navy Band and Bach

Postby Ace » Wed Mar 28, 2012 9:56 pm

Here's a link to an astonishing performance by the U.S. Navy Band. Lots of low bass stuff. Terrific ensemble precision and dynamic contrasts. IMHO, this band is one of the very best in the world.

What a great performance! A great low-brass sound! Dr. Mallory Thompson (from Northwestern U.) guest conducting. She's great too.

Truly awesome performance! Massive, yet smooth, well balanced sound with superb intonation from all - every high school band ought to hear performances like this to know what is truly possible with a band. Super conducting as well! Way to go Navy!!!
