Very cool! My wife, being a bass clarinetist, found it especially neat!

Although not a talented instrument tech like Mrs. Bloke, my wife has offered to help on my projects when I need a second set of hands. In addition to occasionally holding large parts in place while I solder them, she is very helpful when I need to bend tubing. After boiling a pot of pitch on a camp stove outside, I have her hold the funnel and pour the pitch into tubes while I hold the tubes (with heavy gloves) and cork them when full. The last wife damaged tubas, this one helps me rebuild them. You can't ask for more! :D

What Marty said. My first wife insisted I sell all my musical instruments, as, "What good were they," and they only, "Took time away from...."

My current wife knew at the time we were married that I was playing in three different bands. She has not only helped me pick out all subsequent instrument purchases, but she has also been my coordinator to make sure rehearsals and gigs are al properly calendared, the ever-needed second pair of hands for repairs of all types, the second set of ears for the mix out front, etc. Not only that, but her birthday is today. Yes, every few years, we have a great laugh about her birthday and Friday the 13th. We had a great early dinner at a local restaurant, went birthday shopping, and now we're getting the final preparations ready to be a part of staff at the local Scout Counsel's merit badge day tomorrow, where I will be teaching Citizenship in the Nation merit badge, as she accompanies my son to Environmental Science, both Eagle-Required merit badges, and I am stepping up to be Committee Chair and she Treasurer and Advancements Coordinator of my Son's Troop.

Since she is not a subscriber to TubeNet, I am accepting birthday greetings on her behalf. Thanks.
