Suggestions on a good repair shop in the Cincy area?

Post by TubaKyleH »

Hi everyone,

Anyone know of a good repair tech in the tristate Cincinnati area for a chemical clean on a 5/4 CC tuba? Thanks for your help!

Don Miles at Miles Trumpets in the Tri County area is very good, and always did great work on my tubas when I lived there. I haven't spoken with him in a while, and I live in Cleveland now, but his number is (or was) (513) 771-1139. He builds trumpets from scratch, but repairs all brass and is very good.

I like Gary Dafler at Hauer Music in Dayton. Maybe an hour's drive from anyplace in the CIncinnati area.

Gary's done work for me that I have been very pleased with. He's also a super nice guy. I recommend him highly.

Gary at Hauer's has done work on both of my horns, and I have been quite pleased with his work - he is a good one!
