Source of pipe materials?
I am considering adding a fifth valve to a tuba. Where is a source of slide and pipe material for such a project? Already have a source for the valve.

Allied has matched inner and outer slide tubes. The stuff ain't cheap but is readily available to bona-fide repairmen. Stock crooks for many popular horns are also available. Again... not cheap but at least available.Tom Mason wrote:.... Where is a source of slide and pipe material for such a project? ....

For Joe, it will go on a .748 bore, eventually on a clone of a PT1. (If I actually talk myself into doing this).

Allied has .750, be prepared to pay at least a buck an inch. And ya gotta buy full sticks of the stuff.
