Top Ten Worst Tuba Players

Post by kathott »

Hi, I'm compiling a list of the *Top Ten Worst Tuba Players of all time.
Whilst considering, factor in abysmal past performances (live or recorded),
contrived or needlessly esoteric phrasing, crazy choices for equipment,
quack teaching philosophies and so on.
Thank you,
Kathott

* Please do not include performers from Baltic countries.

This might need some elaboration. One idea of what that means is Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, and indeed it is customary to excuse tuba players from those states from `worst of' critical review. But it can also refer to any country bordering the Baltic Sea, which is most of northern Europe, Scandinavia and Russia. This could be seen to focus unfairly on the French.

Excuse me, that should be: "How 'bout Canucks, eh?"
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Au contraire, the French and Quebecois should make naturally good tuba players since they can learn their articulations in the original Arbanesque.

What do you have against Baltimore?
No, not Baltimore. Baltic is a kind of vinegar that goes well with fish and chips.

As an avowed competitively-bad tuba player, I can assure you, sir, that I most certainly care.

Maybe it was suppose to be satire of the claim that people make that there is such a "top 10 best players" list out there. Maybe that was the op's point. Maybe, Kathott just felt like joining in on the whole trolling thing that seems to happen sometimes....
