Hey bloke, or anyone for that matter

Can you make a suggestion of which album/albums of theirs would be essential to add to a collection. I was looking at their discography and found myself dumbfounded. Thanks

I enjoyed that a lot. Gets me fired up to learn to play changes! It looks like so much fun.

This recording (Asleep in the Deep, with Lowell Miller's double-low F at the end) is now on youtube...
Thanks for posting this. I particularly like how the title got translated into Spanish as "Deeply Asleep." :)

bloke wrote:The youtube recording was taken from some media in remarkable condition, or perhaps it was digitally enhanced. I don't have a personal copy with fidelity that good.

It sounded like some serious popping was going on (but mostly covered up) at one point. I'd bet it was taken from an LP and cleaned up.

As an aside, my double low F is in about the same condition as Lowell's here. It would be great to just crank one out but by the double low Gb or so the volume falls off drastically. ( I would give my left frontal brain lobe to be able to really belt out a double pedal C )
