Needing a few etudes from Concone Solfeggi for Tuba
I have a analysis paper due tomorrow on Concone's Solfeggi for Tuba. I only need a few excerpts from it, like an etude from the beginning, middle, and end. Just enough so I can judge difficulty, grade level intentions, characteristics, etc. I don't intend to use these transcribed vocal etudes for anything but analysis and something tangible to give my professor to defend my opinions. Any help would be appreciated.

Here's a link to the IMSLP page on Giuseppe Concone:

(these are the originals, not the tuba versions -- hope you find them useful)

Here's a place to start. Take the preview from here and the IMSLP files you can probably figure out how the rest of the etudes pan out. HEck, you could even work in a paragraph or two about the commonalities or differences between the two.

Did that transposition add value to the user? As a user, I find value in having the transposition on paper rather than trying to do it in my head at speed. (I would never make a good horn player.) So, I think the copyright is okay.bloke wrote:As far as copyrights, I understand and respect the authority of the law - and it is what it is, but I view it to be somewhat bogus that someone can take public domain material, transpose it, superimpose a few (often undesired) phrase markings and/or articulations, and copyright it.
