It's funny about that carbon fiber bell. Chuck has lightened one of the lightest parts of the tuba.
If you think about it, the bell is full of air. I guess it does change the center of gravity and lend
some "Indestructibility" to it.

To this day, I regret the day I refused to work with him on building the Getsen G-50 out of styrene.
I doubted the Getsen Co would have let it be sold as cheaply as I wanted and I didn't like the horn,
but it is an undeniably great player and well.....I should have !

BTW: I know the orn in the video isn't the Getsen, but when we talked (in 1990 somthing) that's what he had.
