Tuba Exchange Sousaphone
Has anybody tried one yet? I saw the $3000 price tag that includes a case and thought it is probably too good to be true but you really never know. Might be promising. It has a large bore, short action valves, and for $500 more you can get the silver plate version. Some how this just seems more legitimate to me than those Chinese or Indian horns they sell on ebay. http://www.tubaexchange.com/product-det ... PID=TE-822" target="_blank

I played a silver plated one they had on display at TMEA 2 years ago. I liked it. Felt just like holding a 20K and it was about the same weight too. Probably a good deal for the money.

Are you sure? They might be chinese but not the same as a Schiller. Schiller doesn't even have a silverplated version or short action valves as far as I can tell and the tubing looks much different.cktuba wrote:The Tuba Exchange horns are the same Chinese made horns as the Schiller etc.Dutchtown Sousa wrote:Some how this just seems more legitimate to me than those Chinese or Indian horns they sell on ebay. http://www.tubaexchange.com/product-det ...
