It just blows my mind that anyone would be against health care for all.....I am just happy that a Buffalo born Chief Justice understood that it was the right and moral thing to do.....

Realizing that politics is forbidden on TubeNet, I will point out something that is not political. Supreme Court justices are supposed to interpret the law, on the basis of our Constitution. It is not their job to decide what is "right and moral." The Constitution is there for the purpose of defining what is right and moral, or at least what to base decisions such as this on. This is just an observation, mind you. I'm certain you weren't trying to be political, and I KNOW I wasn't! :tuba:

13, indeed.
I get to shoot my one bullet in November. I sure hope it, combined with millions of others, will be enough.
I doubt it's even up for discussion in your state - or mine. Damn electoral college and all.

It is raining in Oregon. Still. We had an almost summery day the other day, but it rained.

I don't mind more people having healthcare, I just don't want to be the one paying for it. Come to think of it, who *is* paying for it? "Debt" is not "paying for" anything!

Hi-
Who do you think is currently paying for folks who don't currently have health insurance & they go to a hospital, emergency room, clinic, etc.? We are-- in higher premiums & taxes.....
How can someone who began a comprehensive health plan for their state while they ran it now be against a health care plan for all 50 states (just to be a 'yes' man to his base)? ''Do as I say but not as I do?' Does the term hypocrite apply?
Just a thought for today....

107F here in Newburgh yesterday. Can't wait until Saturday. I have a parade at 11am and a gig in an outdoor beergarden at 6pm. Think I'll take the commode-O-phone to both of 'em!

UPDATE:

The Update Update thread has been in continuous existence since 4/10/08. It has miraculously survived without political discussions(mostly, until now). If it is someone's intent to end what was intended to be just a funny diversion, keep posting political things. I would guess you will succeed.

You have been updated.

I have a new job, and a new work laptop to get used to.

My old job I had a Macbook. I don't love the OS, but it was fine, and it the machine was well designed.
Now I have a Lenovo ThinkPad. It works well, but WOW, is it UGLY, heavy, clunky, bad keyboard, ...

I still like my HP Probook more than anything else I've ever used/owned/tried.

I had no intention of killing anything. I simply reported a headline in a newspaper. It would be a shame for this thread to die because it would leave Joe in first place with that cimbasso thingie. I hereby retract, disavow, repudiate any reference to anything remotely political in this therad forever! Please accept my appology. You have been updated. BTW, It is going to 102 in Atlanta today.

I heard an outdoor patriotic concert by the Roman Festival Brass last evening. It was 100 on my car thermometer at the start. Fortunately they were in the shade. They have 3 more to play this week. It looks like it may top 104 for one of them. I could hardly bear to listen in that heat. Thank goodness I didn't have to play.

So how much hotter does it have to be before the show gets cancelled?

Just trade it for a Microsoft Surface Pro when they come out (let the kiddies stand in line for the lo-po version three months earlier.) The perfect thing for both work and surfing BlokeNet®
