Respect
(OK, this probably belongs in the "For Sale" section, but since I've no connection with the auctioneer and the horns all the way in Holland were almost no one on this board will try to get to it)..........
WOW, what a cool horn. The Eye of Mordor and a beer holder on one horn! Lets face it, no other instrument in the brass family can even touch this kind of awesomeness.

Fortunately I'm almost 50 and would never partake in such childish investments : )

Re: Respect
My guess is that it was done for a "Dweilorkest" band (do a Google image or video search on the term for some very colorful groups! )

The only concern I have is that it might cause a Sauron your lip ...

One day, some of the kids from the neighborhood carried my mom's groceries all the way home. You know why? It was out of respect.

Re: Respect
Very nice nylon sousaphone. Recently re-sprayed with a flame motif. Unknown to the brand. Instrument has a beautiful full client. Includes case and mouthpiece. Offer from € 750.00kontrabass wrote:Can anyone translate the Dutch on this page? Is it painted fibreglass?

Re: Respect
This would have to be one great playing sous to make worth the import and transport costs.
My advice; buy a fiber-sous you've tried out and like (unless you already have one), download all the pictures of this sous, go to a auto body shop that has a real good painter and talk business with him.
My 2 cents,
P
